October

"O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away."

- Robert Frost, October

I found this Poem posted over at SouleMama and just love it. It describes October so well, I thought I would share it with you as well.

We went for a walk a couple days ago, with no destination in mind. We do that often since we've moved out here, just go and see what we find. I love it. Usually we find something new, have an adventure of some kind. I love exploring. Well this time we hit fun big time when I spied the biggest pile of leaves I have ever seen. You should have seen Pay's face as she looked at us, face shining with excitement, to see if she was allowed to jump in. And jump she did!

Sam wasn't to sure at first, it was her first time being plunked in the middle of a pile of leaves. This was her covering her face when leaves were coming down on her head.

But she figured out this was fun pretty quickly.

I'm thinking this one(below) might make a good Christmas card?

I just love the joy on their faces.

Just to give you a perspective on the size of the pile. Can you spot Sam? That's Pay jumping into the pile.

Taking a break in a bed of leaves. I've decided that the name for Payton's hair colour is now fallen leaves. Or Autumn leaves? She blended right in.

That would be me who had to get in on the fun being tackled.

It was a good day!

What beautiful photos. My fave is the 6th one down with your little ones looking sort of up at the sky. So very cute!

Enjoying your blog, by the way. ;)
